On Cinco De Mayo 2012, HBO gave viewers a great fight between Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather Jr. To the average mainstream boxing fan this was the first bout that Mayweather seemed to struggle.

Perhaps the most controversial fight in Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s undefeated career was his first bout with Jose Luis Castillo on April 20, 2002. At the time Mayweather jr. was transitioning to a higher weight class at 135 lbs sporting a 27-0 record.

Castillo was already established at 135 lbs weight class with a 45-4-1, 41 KO record while holding the WBC’s title.

Was Jose Luis Castillo robbed a victory? Was this very fight a gift from the judges?

Watch for yourself.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Jose Luis Castillo

According to Floyd Mayweather’s tweet from earlier today, he will be fighting Miguel Cotto on May 5th in Las Vegas.

We guess he got tired of waiting for Manny Pacquiao and his promoter, Bob Arum, to accept the challenge. For some reason, Bob Arum seems like he just refuses to do business with the Mayweather camp. Hmm. ┬áHis announcement to come on who’s Pacquiao’s next opponent will be.

So will this mega fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao ever going to happen? The world will never know…
